I need help on two things:
1. Changing contacts from SD card to phone to I can add more fields

2. Setting up a group in my contacts. They are some there that I want but when I go to add a new person in, it starts at F and drops most of the contacts

Answer
Item 1 seems to be on the web.

Google "How to copy contacts from SIM card on Android." Seems to be an oft asked question.

The second question is a minefield. That is, there is NO STANDARD for groups. That is, to SMS to a group is not a feature of the SMS app so no to that. Same seems to be true for the stock email app.

Now if you find a replacement app, maybe you can make groups.

Thank you for the reply
1. this I will google the question.

2. I was I thought that I done it on an earlier version Samsung phone having different group contacts eg family, co-workers. It shows these as being on the phone settings it just will not let me add them. It may only be able to be done from contacts that are on the phone not the card
