Samsung s3: How to turn off email notification?

Samsung Galaxy s3

I *cannot* figure out how to shut off the notification tone for email. (Not Gmail)
I've already tried going to Email, Settings, Priority senders then unchecking 'Email notifications'. (at which point, the 'Select ringtone' tab went gray)

But I'm *Still* getting the ringing for new emails.

Make it a warranty issue.

Samsung has some goof ups in their apps so when you find a bug, make it a warranty issue. It's not like they can't fix this stuff.

Ask how to make it work right and if it fails ask them what the next step is. It sounds like a software defect to me and the days where we used to let it slide are, in my opinion long gone.
