The PS3 Slim is well known for this issue. Try an Amazon Basics cable then ask Blue Jeans cables for what they suggest.
Only those that haven't been around will feign they don't know. And I will no longer debate this area with anyone. If the cables don't cure it, then try another display. Sony has never fessed up what's up.
I am wanting to play my PS3 on my monitor so I hooked my hdmi cable to the monitor (S22C300) and all I get is a black screen and sometimes it switches back and forth from analog mode to digital. I know the cable is fine because I can hook it up to my tv and it will be just fine. What do you think that the problem could be?
