You wrote you updated the OS but I've lost count of how many times a person updated it from other than the carrier then complained about the results.
Good to see the transaction number but would like to read more about the OS change.
Also I'm finding folk install APPS that are less than happy. Not to mention that bug in the standard SMS app!
I got a samsung Captivate in 2009 and after that there were many times it got shutdown automatically. I had sent it for repair twice but the service center sent it back saying its working fine.But i still saw the problem. It was under warranty the both times i sent. To not waste my time, i stopped sending it again.
After few days, i tried to update from Froyo to Ginger bread using their Software. All of a sudden my phone died. It neither would charge not show anything on the screen. I sent it to the customer service again and after a long chat they agreed to do a reflash.
After few days , they said that it would cost some 70$( its out of warranty) since one of the items was damaged. I never understood why an upgrade would damage the hardware as it was working till the time i tried to upgrade. I had to fight with multiple people to get the repair for no cost.
Finally they agreed to it and raised a ticket again. The next day i received an email saying, phone is being shipped. But i never received it. When i call now they say they dont have any track of the phone and it was not repaired. They dont have any logs of anything they spoke.
It almost 1 and half month since they received my phone and nothing happened other than me calling them multiple times with zero result.
Their service SUCKS bigtime. I would never suggest any samsung products to anyone. They are just horrible and not reliable.Not worth the money
