This issue has come up from time to time and the answers are never good news. For video wall setups you need to avoid all but one off the shelf (or showroom floor) TV and look at commercial signage units. Your high end suppliers and theater specialists use that. Need an example?
These can be customized with apps and controls so that each display is independently controlled.
I am a proud owner of three Samsung HDTVs, a Samsung Washer/Dryer, and a Samsung Galaxy S5.
Here is my problem:
I have two Samsung TVs lined up side-by-side in my living room...one for gaming, one for TV.
TV #1 is a Samsung UN60FH6003
TV #2 is a Samsung LN46B750
When I use either TV's remote, both TVs are operated. Power on/off, volume, source, menu, etc.
My goal is to use an Android smartphone app for my Verizon Galaxy S5 to control both TVs, but NOT at once. For example, my phone came with an AWESOME App called "Smart Remote" which allows you to build multiple remotes to control TV and DirectTV. The app works great...but NOT when two Samsung TVs are sitting side-by-side, receiving the same IR blaster signal.
Do you all know of an Android App or another practical solution (such as programming each TV to accept a different type of IR signal) for this issue?
FWIW, I would like this app/solution to also be able to control my surround sound system on the 60" Samsung.
