Samsung remote

My Son is away at college and him and his roomate both
have Samsung tvs and the remotes are turning on and off
each others tv.How do we stop this.

Long standing issue with TVs.

This issue goes back decades. In the past it was rare to have more than one set in a home. Later, these sets were in different rooms so the issue was there laying in wait for the day folk would put more than one set in the same room. For now there is no clear do this to fix it save rearranging where the sets are.

Remember this is a rather old problem that TV makers are yet to address. I thought of the other tech solution for over the LAN remote control but how to turn on/off with that system?
