Samsung refresh rate

Sep 15, 2010 4:21AM PDT

I recently purchase a 46" Samsung LCD with 1080i and 120hz refresh rate. When I watch TV or Blue Ray, the refresh rate is only at 60hz. Am I doing something wrong? Will the TV automatically convert 60hz to 120hz. I am confused because this is all they were talking about in the electronics store was the refresh rate so I bought one with 120hz. Help!!!

Google is a wonderful thing finding your question. I just returned a samsung represented as 120HZ, model number was same as product in store the blk rimmed tv-cabinet the same but specs appear to have changed on the box and product I brought home. If you still have the box see if it states 480 Motion opposed to 120HZ on the correct box and true model they exchanged for me. Same model number different specs is this fraud by Samsung? I'm I missing something here? There is a $400 difference 60HZ to 120HZ in most cases.

I think your problem is so common..go to the dealer from where you have purchased or use the internet..your problem will be solved..
