Samsung R580 Laptop (np-r580-jbb1us) poor product poor servi

Hi I recently bought a Samsung R580 laptop (NP-R580-jbb1US).

It seemed ok at first then I started noticing a few things wrong with it.

1.Trackpad two finger scrolling is terrible, trackpad very poor.
2.no bluetooth (ok minor nuissance).
3.blu ray drive is a bit shoddy at times.
4.screen resolution subpar.
5.Here is the biggie, the N wireless card does not operate on the 5GHz freqency (just 2.4).

What did they think that people wouuld not notice this? almost every router
now in mid 2010 has 802.11N has or works on teh 5 GHz scale and has had it for some time.

Really, I would not think a company like Samsung would engage in such shenanigans. Overall an average computer with some minor problems and one major one.


I am going to try to exchange this unit at best buy, the gentleman on the phone says that he will try to charge me a restocking fee when it was clearly advertised as connecting to n networks.

This is a crap computer.
