Question

Samsung q10: short recording time problem

Apr 28, 2012 6:50PM PDT

I have a Samsung Q10 hd camcorder. I can only record 20 min at a time, then it stops the recording and I have to press Record again. I use a class 10 sd card 32 Gb, with approx 30 gb free space.
Can I in any way turn this off?

I also get the error message that I have to go down in resolution because the SD card is not a high enough class. But since it is a class 10 it should be good enough?

The Samsung Q10 is a camcorder, you should post your question on the Camcorders Forum.

Here is a link to the Camcorders Forum:

You should also tell them the brand name of the memory card and where you bought it.
If you bought it on eBay you may have a counterfeit card.

Defective? Bad Card?

I looked at the manual and also some reviews; no mention of a recording limit, which would be highly unusual for a camcorder. You might try another card and see if the problem goes away. As mentioned, there are a lot of counterfeit memory cards out; always buy from a reputable source.
