After buying 3 Samsung TVs before, and loving them all, I went out and bought this TV although it was $100 more expensive than similar models by other brands. After having much trouble trying to put the screws in the stand supplied, it finally went in, but the screws had completely ripped apart the plastic in the stand (which I didn't know), so I put it up and collapsed an hour later, breaking the screen.
I went out and bought a cheaper and similar TV made by LG, which took me 10 minutes to assemble and has lasted for a couple weeks so far, and works perfectly.
Later, I looked up this problem on the web and other people had had similar problems - although they were complaining that the screws were too large. Best Buy (not at all helpful on the issue) said that the screws were NOT too large just horribly designed.
I wonder if anyone else has had this situation and if Samsung has done anything to fix the situation.
