by rhoose / May 17, 2009 9:03 AM PDT

I just purchased it, out of the box the picture isn't bad but needs to be tweaked! If anyone has any setting I would love to know what they are.

I am on the verge of buying the Samsung PN58B540 and have read several blogs about using THX DVDs or Disney with THX DVDs to optimize the setting. aAs I am a novice at this can you give instruction on the procedures to follow?

Calibrating for the PN58B860.
by kimba10 / December 11, 2009 12:52 PM PST

I just swapped the Samsung PN58B540 for the PN58B860. I didn't like the picture of the 540. I don't know how to explain the picture, but the best way for me to explain it would be that it looked as if it were choppy/to sharp/edgy. So, now I have the 860 and I am not having the issue as bad as it was on the 540; however, it is still there. I have set it to movie mode, which has eliminated alot of the problem, but I am sure it needs to be calibrated. It seems a bit to soft now. Does anybody know how to do this? I am quite picky since I am replacing my beloved Pioneer. And, I am hoping to get this set to the out-of-the-box specs on the Pioneer.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
