Bring in your favorite DVDs or blu ray discs to a non-big box home theater store where you can actually test out the HDTVs in question. My eyes lead me to a Panasonic for PQ, but you may like the Sammy better. There really are no absolutes per se, just opinions based on what we see/hear.
FWIW, 3D is really a bit 'gimmicky' at this stage. I'd use other factors to select an HDTV.
Hi I am looking to purchase a plasma tv in the next couple of days, and was looking for some opinions. I am willing to spend between $1200-$1400. I think I have narrowed it down to 2 tv's. The Samsung PN50C7000 and the Panasonic TC-54g25. I currently have a Sony 55" hd lcd rear projection and really like the size. I just want the best tv for my money! I woulnd say I need the 3d option the Samsung gives me, but 6 months down the road I may?! I read that this tv is one of the best cnet even tested in 2d in that price range. I also am considering the Panasonic cause I heard it is the best plasma makers currently and would kinda like to keep the size of my current tv. What would you do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
