Samsung PN50B550 (Newbie question)

Aug 6, 2009 3:29AM PDT

This is probably a stupid question. I just set my TV up yesterday and everything works well. My question is why is it when I push info on the TV remote it says that I am at 60hz? Should it be higher than that since the TV is 600hz? I have directv connected with a HDMI cable in the first HDMI slot on the back of the TV. Thanks!!

jeffmemphis,

The INFO button is letting you know the resolution and Hz of the *incoming* signal, and not what is actually being displayed on the screen. It's kind of understood that the panel will always show the specification's resolution and the Hz rating regardless of what signal is coming in. But the INFO button shows you what signal is coming in.

Does that help?

Ok, thanks for the reply. Yes, that explains it for me.
