Samsung Plasma with several Horizontal Dead Pixel Lines.

by Baqz / December 28, 2013 12:07 AM PST

Hey there. I have a 43" Samsung Plasma (PS43D450A2) that started out with a single horizontal black line of 1-pixel height. It appeard about 8" from the top of the screen.

Gradually, they kept increasing. Some joined to form a thickened line. I'd say I have about 20 such annoying lines.

What could be the problem? Is it something I can fix myself?

Thanks a ton.

Maybe replaceable parts? I just need to pinpoint the problem.

I'm in a corner of the world where I'll be ripped off by the technician if I don't know what the problem is.

I see the stand, power cord and remote. So it's back to get estimates.

As you know, no tech I know will diagnose this online and stand by the diagnosis (unless they are new, or untrustworthy or won't stand behind the diagnosis.)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
