Samsung PC Share Manager for MAC?

Recently purchased a Samsumg BD-C550 blu-ray player and realized that I could share files on my notebook, however, the share manager software is for Windows only (I have a macbook v10.6.3). Is there anything available out there? Thanks! m

Samsung PC Share Manager for MAC?

mjpoppa,

PC Share Manager is not available for the Mac OS. A different server program may be available, but I can't offer any specific suggestions.

Media Servers

There is not as much choice for MAC, but there are a few. See here:

I have used MediaTomb (on Linux) and it seemed OK. TwonkyMedia has a large user base as it's often packaged with hardware devices but it's not free to buy stand-alone.

That list may be a little out of date. It doesn't include Serviio, which I'd recommend as a starter as it comes with a profile for Samsung Wiselink (for TVs, don't know if BD/DVD players are the same). A lot of the others need tweaking to get them to work well.
