I don't know outside of the PC Share Manager software. But if you share the folder of the attached device, and then share it in the "Property" menu of the PC Share Manager, it should find those files.

An error can appear when you try to share folders of an external HDD, like you do with usual folders.
The only way to share folders on an external HDD is to right click on it, on the left column, then select "Share" then "OK". There will be an error message but your folder will be shared.
I had this problem on Vista x64 and Win 7 x64. My version is PC Share Manager 2.1.

If the DLNA server stops working, then there is another issue : some of movies are not reconized. Try to empty the folder and refill it with one, then two, etc... files.

You are right, you get an error sharing a folder on an external USB drive, but when using properties the folder is shared after the error.

The folder containing music files works fine

But the folder containing photographs gives me an error
"Request cannot be completed" on the TV

can you advise

I am using PC Share 2.2 on a series 8000 40" LED

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
