SAMSUNG P2450H PS3 HDMI no sound

I have a Playstation 3 Slim 80gb and a 24" Samsung monitor, when I hook up the HDMI I have picture but no sound, I've updated the PS3 and turned the audio output settings to HDMI but still nothing. I know it isn't the cables because I have another TV with HDMI and the cable I'm using works on that TV.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have options to change the output audio and choose either Bitstream or PCM? If so, try the PCM option.

Also, I'm just suggesting it because it's often overlooked, but check to make sure the monitor isn't muted and the volume is turned up.

The sound settings are currently on:

Linear PCM 2 Ch. 44.1kHz
Linear PCM 2 Ch. 48 kHz

At this point I'm just wondering if this monitor even HAS speakers. I can't find any information on if there is nor isn't.
