Samsung or Sony - Which to choose?

by flauta_del_angel / September 6, 2008 5:29 AM PDT

I am looking for a 26" LCD HDTV and can't decide between the Sony Bravia KDL 26M4000 or the Samsung LN26A450. I do want a TV with a QAM tuner, and have been informed that both sets have QAM. Are there any other considerations that would lead you to choose one over the other?

Thank you in advance, Carlos

Do you realize Samsung is now the largest TV maker?

I must say I have had a Samsung with quality issues & it took much persistence on my part to get response from their customer service. I have heard that occasionally Sony customers with an issue have experienced fine customer service.

I don't know the two models cited & would not assume anything about them.

The 450 series Samsung is fare superior to the M series Sony not even close. See CNET review of LN32a450

If you are planning to save some money and plan to get a product that does not last Get samsung.

Sorry for being sarcastic coz we bought a samsung that did not even last for a year and we rarely even use it.

Not even a question. Sony.

Samsung's TVs do not last and are difficult to get repaired. I don't see Sony owners complaining about either of those things.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
