The LG30 series isn't all that great, I have seen them side by side with higher end models. The LG 50/60/70 are great TV's but LG HDTV's suffer from poor black level performance. The only thing i like about the LG is the 5ms response time. I usually always go for Samsung and Sony. If you want to go for the LG i would recommend you look into the 37LG50. Beach Camera.com and Buydig have them at a reasonable price. Or you can go for the Samsung LN37A550 which is a great tv as well.

I shouldn't be saying go for the LG considering this is a Samsung forum but just thought i'd try and help.

Buy a Samsung, of course.

(I was just saying that to make it a balanced discussion. You all believe that, right?) Wink

To the original poster, you have to go with what you think best fits your needs. If you have questions about the Samsung products, I'll be happy to answer them.
