if it does not work, are you using samsung oem charging cables, wall adapter and battery? also if it has a microsd card in it, try removing it. finally you can try resetting the tablet.
i have a samsung note 10.1 2014 edition. It is the love of my life. the charging port messed up on it so i tried to charge it a really stupid way through a cable directly to the battery. I ended up frying the battery. So i got a new charging port and new samsung tablet battery, installed both perfectly, the tablet shows that it charges if i plug it in to the wall charger, but when i turn on my tablet, it says within less than a minute of turning it on "your tablet is overheating. all processes have been terminated and tabledt will shut down to prevent overheat" the tablet does not feel hot., this is same thing it was doing before i got a new battery. what do i do?!?!? i really really really want some application data off of it
