Samsung Note 2 Glass

Mar 18, 2014 10:59AM PDT

I have a Galaxy Note 2 that I just recently dropped and broke the glass. Still worked perfect other that a cracked glass. Anyway, I replaced it going by videos on you tube. Pretty easy to to as long as you take your time, but here is the problem...

After I replaced the glass, it works great except every once in a while it acts like the screen is frozen. I go to answer a call and it will not sense my finger on the screen. This only happens every so often. Can this be the digitizer, which I thought was part of the glass? One day it will work all day just fine, and then the next hardly at all. This is driving me crazy... The S-Pen works perfect. When it does it, you just push the side button until the screen goes black, then back on, and it will work again. Please give me something to look for. I bought the screen off EBay. Maybe it was a cheap one????

Warranty on the new glass?
Mar 18, 2014 11:37AM PDT

I prefer to buy from sellers who at least give you a month guarantee on the new glass. Sure, it could be faulty, but you need to try another one to know for certain. That's the rub.

Now you know why warranty replacement/more expensive service is popular Wink

Glass

I really did not think that the glass would make a difference, but I will sure as heck try another one. Forgot to mention that most of the time when it does do it, it is usually the bottom half of the screen that loses sense of touch. That's why I thought of the digitizer, but that would either work or not work I would think. Correct me if I am wrong.

As far as warranty, that is what I would have done if I bought it new. Verizon did not want to insure a used phone for some reason.
