Resolved Question

Samsung Note 10.1 1024 copy Files

by Cherieinoz / July 3, 2014 11:24 PM PDT

I have tried all night to copy files from my USB memory stick onto an internal sd card, and with no success

Have tried to look on the web but every thing I find is different from my apps

I have tried MY Files
and up load the appAstro File Manager

both find the files on the uSB memory stick but will not copy to the sd card in the tablet

Can someone help a damsel in distress or recommend a better app

I don't mind looking into this but

You'll have to reveal a lot of detail. I get the feeling you don't like Windows, Android and how techy it all gets. I agree, it shouldn't be like that. This is where the customer votes count. (the returns counter.)

If you want to dive deeper, tell a lot more.

For me DropBox worked

Without any of the Android finger hold actions. I see now what the issue was. Same thing could happen on an iPad if you didn't have a tutorial on how to use. That is, basic operations are on the web, manual and if folk go to the trouble of posting, my guess is the issue is something other than basic use.

Given the details, maybe or not?

For example if the files are too big then I can't help you either. Try DROPBOX next.

Pretty easy here

But details are missing so I can't work with you further. Why not make this a support/warranty issue? If your other devices work, then call it a flaw/defect and get a refund. Now you know to test this area before you buy your next device.

Why blame the product

Why blame the product when it is me who is not understanding

when I posted I ask for information on how to copy files from a usb drive to the internal sd card on a Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition

a simple question, as I am a Mac user and not used to all this windows BS

There is no simple drag and drop like you do on the mac

I am not blaming Samsung for my inability to know everything

Because it is a failing of the manual or product.

If Dropbox is failing, Samsung and forums can help then this product is not ready for what you need it to do. Why not keep it simple?
