We moved into our new home in mid August 2018, and purchase 3 Samsung appliances (washer, dryer, and high end electric slide-in range). First use of the washer, it sounded like a bucket of bolts. The front fascia was not securely fastened. I called and asked for them to fix it. The cat knocked a small toy behind the washer and dryer (stacked), and we moved it slightly to get the toy out, and noticed that the power cord to the dryer was dangling loosely. On inspection, it was not attached properly when installed. They had cross-threaded the screw to the live wire, and the connection was not right. Besides that, there was a massive dent in the back of this brand new dryer. A repair person came out and looked... he said "this could have caused an arc, and started a fire". I contact Samsung, and they said "you should have inspected it before installation". I was not given the opportunity to inspect it, as it was unpackaged on the road outside the house, and moved straight into the laundry room. Besides, the fire hazard." What did they say? NOTHING.
About two weeks ago, my brand new Samsung Chef slide-in range started playing up. I contacted Samsung. A repair person will be sent out, and I arranged a date (today is the date). Yesterday Samsung call me and say "do you still want the repair person to come out?" I said "as opposed to what? not having my range repaired? I mean, I paid for new appliances, and ended up with two that have had repairs so far, and one about to be." She said "we can make accommodations, and refund your range". I was astounded, and asked for clarification. This is what she said " we refund your range MINUS the tax, then you arrange for Home Depot to collect it. Then you buy a new one with the refund." HOLD ON!!!
So... I have paid the tax on the first range, between $200-$300, you refund the price of the item, and I go through a load of hassle, AND pay the tax AGAIN? REALLY? Do I look like I was born yesterday? So, in short, you want me to PAY $200-300 because YOUR products SUCK?
