Uggh, I am so sick and tired of my Samsung products! Nineteen days after the warranty ran out, the washer stopped. It locked shut, leaving my cloths hostage and SOAKING WET! Technician couldn't come for 4 days - guess how good that smelled!! Like many others on this forum, I have totally babied the stupid machine and it died again tonight. Gave me a PEI error. Help on chat was worthless. "Unplug for 2 minutes. If same error occurs, call technician. Here's the link to the Samsung website." DUH! How do you think I got on the chat?!?!
Shame on you Samsung for putting out such crap! I, too, searched all the recommended product sites and all said Samsung is a top machine. Found out later that the sites accepted money from the companies they recommended. Yes, Consumer Reports is especially bad about this practice.
I used a Kenmore for 21 years - went through 5 boys - never a problem. OH how I wish I had my KENMORE back!!!
The same time we purchased the washer, we made the mistake of purchasing the Samsung French door refrigerator/freezer. Has TWO ice makers - guess what - yep! NEITHER WORK!!!! Just over a year old!
NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE ANYTHING MADE FROM SAMSUNG!
Thanks for any ideas you may have about how to resolve these issues aside from trashing them and purchasing a different brand!
