Question

SAMSUNG NEEDS TO INSTALL DRIVER SOFTWARE FOR Samsung TV DMR

Feb 18, 2013 8:35AM PST

Well for sure this seems very unlikely to get a happy and successful outcome judging by several posts. I go to my pc ,it's running Vista (tm) Home Premium,Service Pack 2,Memory(RAM) 2.00Gb; 32-bit operating system. MY Samsung tv is Model Code UE40ES5500KXXU. {I cannot find this number in the drop-boxes }Samsung built it, but don't seem to recognise it
so how can I download the required software TV DMR everytime the message is popped up ,I did'nt receive no disc on purchase and have tried many times to resolve but assistance from Samsung is not forthcoming and Comet (where I bought it has gone out of business.)Why do they make and sell things for the buying public to use when they obviously don't?

You wrote about DMR but I wonder if this is that question about the TV DVR feature? The model looks to be a non-USA model and there will never be software to read and use the DVR recording on you PC. But I could be entirely wrong but you can tell the forum what this DMR stands for.

What's the purpose of the TV for use by the PC besides being a monitor, possibility. It needn't require a driver unless you're getting into some special use. While it may ask for a driver but if its being used in the meantime, how is this effecting the end use, can't you bypass the driver window otherwise. DMR, is this a some "copyright" protection scheme?

Alas, have you visited the Samsung support website, any s/w there and/or forum to query as well. Providing yet more details may help as well.
