Question

Samsung monitor 173V

Recently someone gave me his used LCD monitor to use on my old Windows XP system. I connected the monitor, but after powering up, the monitor remains blank. I don't know if the monitor is broken or if it needs the appropriate driver.

I found the instructions on the Samsung site, but no driver. The instructions say, that the monitor does come with an installation disk when bought new, but the person giving it to me doesn't not have it anymore.

I am afraid, I can't use it if I can't find the driver. Am I right? Anyone?

Thanks for your response.
