Question

Samsung Model: UN43MU6300 - Memory Full

Oct 11, 2018 7:33AM PDT

I recently had an audio issue which required a factory reset.
I'm now missing apps such as Youtube and when I try to install, it says no memory space available. (821 MG used 0 available)
But this was not the case when I got the TV - I was able to install apps.
It appears all apps in the smart hub are pre-installed and cannot be deleted. Some appear to be new and not there when I got the TV.
Can this be? where you cannot install apps because all space is taken up by pre-installed apps.
I did call support, they did look at it and say they may need to send a tech to possibly wipe the memory.

Has anyone run into this issue?

Thanks

I did manage to fill up another smart TV.

So I uninstalled apps (had to read it's fine manual to find the menu) and was able to carry on.

If you can't find that menu or process ask how to do a factory reset and how to install the latest firmware.
Those two steps should clear this up till the next time.

This is not a PC. But it has some of the PC issues like memory space. As to YouTube I thought that app was dead due to changes at Google.

Thanks for the reply.
I know how to get around the menu - problem is the delete option for all the apps are greyed out and if you push delete it says pre installed apps can't be deleted. Had 3 Samsung support tech look at it via remote control. Have reset the Hub and TV factory default several times. So No space left for me to install app that I installed when I got the TV.

It looks like it's up to Sam now.

There have been a few failures like this where the firmware could not be updated and there were issues. Samsung had the mainboard replaced.

Just like cars, phones, PCs and so much else today they can have a bug that requires new hardware.

In the news is Tesla replacing 1.x version boards to accommodate the new firmware and features.

You'd done the usual so it's back to Sam.

Sadly typical.

For a lot of us the updates do work. But once in a while this happens.
