The bluetooth headsets use the bluetooth communications protocol. Therefore, as long as both devices are bluetooth, it will be compatable so long as there is some sort of program utilizing the pair of devices. The only thing you have to worry about is using the same version of bluetooth. The Samsung SPH-A900 (aka MM-A900) uses the latest version, and most headsets (today) also use that version.
However, the A900 has known problems with bluetooth headsets. I have one, and I know of other people that have them. When I connect to my bluetooth headset, sometimes I'll get a call and it won't pick up with the headset. When I look at the phone it says roaming charges apply (even though I'm well within the network). Then I try to pick up on the phone and it won't work. Then, experiencing the same problem, I even got a call from someone I was in the car with. After awhile I realized that when this error occurs it says I am getting a call from the last person who called me. Another problem with bluetooth headsets is that sometimes the A900 will drop the bluetooth connection. I have also noticed that the speaker on the headset is on and continues to be on until the connection is dropped when this happens. My suspicion is that the phone sends a signal to put the headset into hibernate mode until a call occurs, but the headset doesn't recieve it - so when the phone doesn't get the signal back from the headset it thinks you're out of range and drops the connection. Hopefully this will be remedied, because there is a method for updating the phone's firmware through the settings menu.
Is the Samsung MM A900 compatable with the Jabra BT800. I cant find the answer anywhere. If not can anyone suggest which blue tooth headset is best to use with the MM A900
