Register the unit online (gives you three extra months) and then call in to see if they'll extend the warranty to cover the part. If they won't, post a transaction number here and I'll see if I can assist. I can't promise anything for a unit out of warranty, but I'll do what I can to help.
I know that there have been some other similar threads, but I'm not sure I found the answer.
I have a samsung lnt5271fx xaa which clicks and clicks for 12 minutes before turning on.
It was purchased 16 months ago at Best Buy - they were no help.
