My samsung 52 inch tv will turn on , the picture flashes for 1-2 secs then goes black. There is sound but no picture. The five 1000 mfd caps were previously replaced and look good. How do i check the backlight inverter boards? There are four of those things>> Anyone????

While self repair is a good thing.

When we can't find online manuals or tips we get it serviced.

If it was the backlight you should see the image if you shine a flashlight onto the LCD.

I have the same problem. I have heard to check the inverter boards also but how can 4 go out at the same time? I have to believe its the main board becasue they do flash on and all work. I have learned some tricks to keep my TV going for 2 1/2 years but now seems that it is done.

I have found and ordered a new main board ($119)to see if that works but after that it's time to throw it in the trash. I did find all 4 boards for $77....

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
