You need to have it looked at by a TV tech. It can be board, panel, connections and such. The symptom does not tell you which part. The TCon answer is overdone. Can't guess why folk replace it so often (and you know why I dismiss that answer now.)
I was watching my Samsung LNT4032H LCD TV the other night when the picture went out. The sound still works and I verified that the backlight still works as well. After reading various forums, it sounded like it was a t-con problem. I replaced the t-con board last night but the problem remains the same. Anyone know of any other possible fixes for this?
