Samsung LNa850 Firmware Updates???

by Tandrin / March 16, 2009 3:16 AM PDT

I have and earlier firmware version and was looking to upgrade to 1005 or 1006 (the lastest). Samsung has taken down all firmwares from their website. Where can I update my firmware? Anyone?

Tandrin,

We are in the process of updating the firmwares. They should be back on the site when they are tested and completed. Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA on that.

I was hoping you would chime in, and I am encouraged that a new firmware is coming out. When the new models came out last year there were no more firmwares for the existing models (LNTxx71 was a perfect example). I hope that the new firmware gives all the functionality of the early versions without the IR problems. FW1005 has a few thing greyed out.

Few things?

In reply to: Thanks

Tandrin,

I was aware that the Energy Saver feature was greyed out, but that was the only one I was aware of. Were there others, or was there other functionality limited as a result of any of the firmwares?
