We purchased our first Samsung TV in November 2008. Only 2 months later we had a major problem with it. Because it was still under a one year warranty, Future Shop arranged for it to be fixed. It was the main b/d replacement (mother board).
A year later, we are experiencing the exact SAME problem again.
We wrote to the samsung customer care department and they responded that since we did not purchase the extended warranty, they would not fix it.
We wrote back again and let them know that even though we do not have an extended warranty, we felt that the TV had been defective from the start since only 2 1/2 months after the initial purchase the TV had a major problem and now 1 year later, the same problem occurred again. We asked for some compassion and good-will since the TV is only 1.5 years old and this is our second problem in the 1.5 years.
Again, we received another standard response that they will not fix it since we did not purchase an extended warranty.
Does anyone know how much it will cost to get this fixed?
