If you register your product, you may qualify for an additional 3 months of warranty. There are some exceptions, but it's definitely worth trying. This program is for U.S. customers, so if you're not in the U.S., results may vary. So here's what I'd recommend. Fill out the online registration form here:
Then, call 800-SAMSUNG back and let them know that you filled out the online registration form that should give you an additional 3 months of warranty for free. From there, you should request a service to be set up.

I have the following model,
I have owned this TV for 14 months and used for less than a year. I now have Horizontal lines of all colors on the right 1/3rd of the screen. Called Samsung and got a much less than helpful. All they told me was that I was 37 days out of warranty (What a stand up company). The lines do sometimes change color, depending on the background of what is on, although that is the exception not the rule. If anyone has any idea of what might be wrong, please let me know. thanks in advance for the help.
