Samsung LN46D630 is losing it's brightness

Mar 17, 2015 11:38AM PDT

I purchased this 46 inch hd Samsung in June of 2012 so it is out of warranty. The picture appears to be slowly losing it's brightness. For example, any shadows on a program appear almost completely dark now. I've tried resetting and increasing brightness with no success. Please help

Samsung losing brightness

I'm rather handy and was wondering if this CCFL replacement can be done at home with the right parts?

You'll want a service manual, YouTube videos and know about sites like samsungparts.com, shopjimmy.com

This CCFL take HV (10KV) to start so it is not considered a trivial area to work in. That is, non-user serviceable.
