Your Samsung TV has a game mode for gaming. It disables some of the processing and increases the brightness levels for a clear, fast gaming experience. The game mode can be found in the TV's menu under: Menu>Plug and play>General>Game mode. At any level of gaming it will increase your experience. I am a gamer and I run game mode with my PS3, it makes for no lag when playing sports games and action game. (without game mode on there will be a delay between when you push a button on you game controller and when the TV will respond.
However with that said you want that mode off during normal viewing. I suggest hooking up your game console to HDMI 1 and your cable box to HDMI 2. Then you can set the game mode yo on for the game console on HDMI input 1, and off for your cable box on HDMI input 2.
The Standard mode is best for a bright room, you may want to turn the color down a bit. there are also discussion groups that share the calibrated setting.
Hi i just recently bought the Samsung ln46c630 tv and was wondering what the calibration is on a bright room for gaming
