Samsung ln46a550 vs Samsung lnt4669

by don200 / April 14, 2008 4:19 AM PDT

Hello, I'm trying to decide which one to buy. I mainly watch sports and regular tv. The ln46a550 has the 5ms response time, and the lnt4669 has the 120hz, with 8ms response time. My question is, if i get the ln46a550, will the blurriness be less than the lnt4669, even though it has the 120hz and 8ms? I appreciate any help on this, Thanks.

Ill try and help you as best that i can. I work in retail and i have seen both 69 series and 550 samsungs, as well as the 450, 650, and 750 models of samsung. The 120 hz 69 series is nice, but at least to me, it isn't nearly as impressive as i once was by the 120 hz. The 550 series is extremely bright, and this past sunday at work we had the Masters on all our HDTV's and the 550 IMO far outshined most of the new tvs( obvious exceptions are the new 1080p Panasonic Plasmas and the 650 and 750 series Samsungs). But if I was you, I would head to a retail store that has both models on display and compare them for yourself. I hope I helped out a bit
