Samsung ln40b650t1fxza-Prob playing mkv w/dts&emb subs-help!

Hi everyone. I have used cnet forums for a long time and have always been pleased at the helpful people and great answers. This is my 1st thread, I'll try to be concise. I am using vista 32 bit business and mkv files play just fine as they were intended (subs within video)via VLC player on my pc. Just got this new lcd tv that claims it can provide interconnectivity thru DLNA server using it's pc share manager. Excellent, decided to give it a try and have been extremely frustrated since when it comes to my HD movie files . First file was an anime episode that is mastroka(mkv) with softsubs. Looking at its mediainfo (avail upon request) --- vid format: AVC,1280x720, progressive, x264 core; audio format: AAC, 2 channel, 48khz sampling rate; and the subtitles format: ***(advanced sub station alpha), id 3. This file plays fine via pc share manager (PSM) with the exception of the subtitles. It is anime so the subs are kind of needed. Minor problem. Ok, moved on to the next. 2nd file is a movie, AKIRA (198Cool that is mkv, I think with embedded subs. I moved it to my shared folders, set the state of psm, navigated to the movie and nope - doesn't play (unsupported format). I've come to hate that term! Here is the mediainfo (available upon request) for this one - vid format: AVC, 1280x688, progressive, x264 core; audio format: DTS, 6 channels, 48khz; and the subtitles format: ***, id3. I have tried to re-mux both files with some but very minimal success. The 1st file when remux'd thru mkv2vob (settings used avail upon request) plays as if it is going at 1.5x speed, audio is in sync, but still no subs!! 2nd file when remux'd thru same app now will play on the tv but same problem as 1st file in regard to video and subs. I did click the tools on the tv and made sure the subtitles option was on. I'm sure the 1st problem I have to tackle is with the audio of Akira being in Dts format which needs converted. I think the 2nd problem is with the subtitles format, ***, not being supported on my tv and need to convert that as well. The video problem may be due to my using mkv2vob because that is designed for the ps3, that could lend to video speed issue. MY goal is get these files to play video, audio, and subtitles correctly on the tv! I would like to sacrifice as little as possible when it comes to video quality. I also have a picture, found on this site, that indicates what video and audio formats and codecs this tv accepts that is available upon request as well. I'm looking for someone who can delineate the necessary steps to get this done as I can't wait to see AKIRA on this tv! Any help and or suggestions are very much appreciated and thank you in advance!
