any ideas what causes this to happen? from what I can find, arrows lean towards the power management system... the light blinks 3 times and then pauses, wash rinse and repeat.
Hi need some help here. I have put in a service request but also found out a few things that make me less than happy. I shelled out over $1000 for a Samsung LCD HDTV. I've been trying to calibrate it too my liking for the past six months but still was unable to get the screen to look as good as the one my friend has. Found out that my firmware was only 1004 and that the latest update was 1008. Figured this had something to do with the problem.
I followed the step by step from Samsung's website and upgraded to the 1008 firmware. Didn't really help the picture any but TV worked fine afterwords. That night, went to say goodnight to my fiance' and when I came back into the room the TV had shut itself off and the red light in the lower right hand corner was blinking. Tried to turn it back on via remote, no luck. Tried from the power button on the tv, nada. Unplugged it for a few minutes like the troubleshooting guide said and then retried to turn it on, nope.
Tried to do a little research and found out the whole S panel A panel C panel fiasco. Checked my set, no wonder I couldn't get it to look as good as my buddies and the viewing angle was different... I don't have a Samsung, I have a "C" panel, Chi Mei Optoelectronics. Not a very happy camper.
The $1000+ TV is 6 months old and is already dead. Mr. Samsung, keep me a happy and loyal Samsung customer...
