Samsung LN40A530 acting erratically.

Sep 5, 2009 11:03AM PDT

We recently (earlier today) bought a new Samsung LN40A530 40" LCD TV, and since first operating it have experienced a recurring problem. The input source is changing erratically and without provocation, sometimes constantly for a minute or so, other times just randomly after an hour or two of normal function. It is accompanied by a beeping noise with every switch, as well as a brief flicker of a red light on the right side of the monitor. We have tried unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in, this seems to resolve the issue only for about an hour. Other troubleshooting tips regarding erratic behaviour have not worked, and their are no physical buttons anywhere on the television that we can find (as people with other models but a similar problem have experienced issues with).
Any ideas?
