Samsung LN32B530 No picture and No back light have sound

Hi all,
I have a Samsung LCD tv LN32B530 which just ran out of warranty and the tv doesn?t have picture or back light. But it has sound and it switch on and off and control buttons work properly. Only problem is I can see any thing in the lcd screen
I have read several forums and it seems that this is a common problem. So this is what I have done so far.
I have flashed a light in front of the screen and I can see a faint picture, I think this indicates that the lcd panel is working.
Since several people have suggested replacing the T ?con board and I replaced it. However it did not solve the problem.
Some have suggested that it could be a problem with the Backlight inverter board.
These are the problems I have,
I can?t locate the Backlight inverter on the set. Can some one advise me how to find it, the only boards I can see is T- con, Main unit and the main power supply board? (I am sure I am not using the correct terms here, I am not a hi tec person but I can work on things if I have some instructions).
Please advice and help me on solving this issue. I really appreciate it. I can?t spend lot of money on repairing it so I am trying my best to do it myself.

Register your product online. You noted that your warranty just ran out, and by registering online, you can extend your warranty an additional three months. You can do that by clicking on the Register product in the middle of the page next to the green icon here:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/

Once you've done that, call 800-SAMSUNG and inquire, noting that you registered your product for the additional three months.

If you're not able to get satisfaction, request a service transaction number and post it here. I'm not service - they can ultimately make any decision, and I can't - but if need be, I'll help the best of my ability and see if we can get this taken care of.

Tahnk you so much for your quick reply. I will do it now. I have one concern though. this set was given to me by my friend and he is the original owner. I hope that this will not be a problem.

ruvi111,

You might have him call on your behalf if he registered the TV, and just set up the service that way. I'm not sure what the protocol is on that, so best to be on the safe side.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
