JVine,
You might contact your cable operator to see if the cable box needs an update. I've seen several threads on this issue solved by that.
Otherwise, it could be a handshake issue with the Sony HT-CT100, in which case, you might want to update the firmware at this link:
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?group=televisions&type=televisions&subtype=lcdtv&model_nm=LN32A450C1D&language=&cate_type=all&dType=D&mType=FM&vType=L&prd_ia_cd=02010100&disp_nm=LN32A450
Otherwise, it's a handshake issue with the HT, which I don't have the ability to provide support for that.
Keep me posted.

Hey,
I recently (Aug 200
bought a 32" Samsung LN32A450. It's been working great so far. I have an AppleTV, PS3 and a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD (through Time Warner) hooked up to it thru HDMI via a Sony HT-CT100.
Recently, I've noticed a problem. Sometimes when my girlfriend watches Desperate Housewives on the HD channel (WABC) there is a skip periodically throughout the broadcast. As in, it's broadcasting fine then the screen will go black, sound will cut out maybe for 1-2 seconds and then resume.
Unsurprisingly, I DVR'd the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on HD via CBS. As I am watching the recording though, it is doing it again! This spurred me to action. Interestingly, when it happens, and I rewind and play it again, it doesn't happen. This leads me to believe it is not a problem with the broadcast and instead a problem with one of the settings.
(The broadcast is in 1080i, by the way).
My Explorer 8300HD settings set to broadcast in 16:9 normal picture, 720p, 1080i, 420p.
My Samsung settings are:
Mode: Dynamic
Backlight: 10
Contrast: 100
Brightness: 45
Sharpness: 75
Color: 55
Tint: G50 R50
Picture Options-
Color Tone: Normal
Size: 16:9
Digital NR: Auto
DNe: On
HDMI Black Level: Low
Film Mode: Off
Sound:
Mode: Custom
SRS TruSurround XT: Off
Auto Volume: Off
TV Speaker: On
Input:
Source List: HDMI1
Anynet+(HDMI-CEC)
Under "Tools" I have:
Picture Mode: Dynamic
Sound Mode: Custom
Sleep Timer: Off
When I hit "Info" for the broadcast it says:
HDMI1
Picture Mode: Dynamic
Sound Mode: Custom
No Time Information
1920x1080 @ 60Hz
Any ideas?
