Samsung LN-S3251D PC connection problems using VGA cable

Jan 7, 2007 7:09AM PST

Hi, I have the Samsung LN-S3251D and I'm trying to connect my laptop to use the tv as a monitor. My laptop has a Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 video card. I'm using a Dynex vga monitor replacement cable to connect them together and a separate audio cable next to it. The cable has been tested with another pc monitor and the dual screen works well with my laptop. The problem is that when connected to the Samsung, the TV does not see the source signal of the pc input at all. The computer detects the tv, but the tv does not detect the laptop even after setting the necessary details in the Nvidia control panel. I have set the refresh rate to 60Hz and the resolution at 1360x768. If anyone can give me advice on this topic it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
