But consider that personal preference and aging of the set means that we likely have to revisit this every few years. Unlike many folk I find close enough is good enough for me. Then again I make sure to control the light in the room and don't place such in sun lit rooms.

I have followed the picture settings for the Samsung LED UN55D8000 (was told its the same as UN65D8000) and I hated the results. They suggested 'movie' and 0 sharpness...I guess 2 things I normally don't agree with but I took the chance. Luckily it seems like my 'standard' picture settings are still in tact...any thoughts or help are appreciated. I would love a 'standard' calibration suggestion listing unless this is it and it's up to me...thnx in advance!
