Resolved Question

Samsung LED TV how to extract media from TV?

Jan 21, 2015 1:34AM PST

Alright, so, long story short: This is one of the not-so-new models of the LED TVs (not smart tv Silly), and when I press "Content" on the remote control, a menu screen turns on, and the first submenu you see is "Gallery". Now, inside "Gallery" there are 3 slideshows, one with art, one with landscapes and the other with animals, each of which have different music. Now, I've been searching for said music/pictures but they probably don't even exist on the internet, so I was wondering if there was a way to connect a computer to the TV, maybe use it as a disk and find the data and copy it? Thanks in advance!

How did this get onto the TV?
Jan 21, 2015 1:38AM PST

If it's what Samsung burned into the TV's firmware, it can't be extracted with ready to use tools.

I fear the answer is no even if you ask 1800SAMSUNG for where to get this content as copyrights and more are likely in play.

It came with the TV, I suppose.

I never put anything on the TV, as long as I can remember, so I guess it came with the TV.
Anyway, if you're right, then I guess that's a shame... Thank you for your help! Happy

extracting media

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The television is more of an output and display device. There would be no way to pull content from the actual television from any other device.

Second idea. Is this a model with the Linux firmware?

We have a few posts but no full model number. On a few rare models you can get the source to the TV's firmware.

That source might have it.
