Samsung LE40A656A

I've just bought the Samsung LE40A656A LCD tv based upon great reviews, particularly the bit about 'solving motion blur'. Not for me they haven't! Everything is really good except outside broadcasts, which have all been sports related. Just watching the Ryder Cup, and the blur on the golf ball on the green is really bad. Is it the tv or do I need to set it up in some way? Any help appreciated.
