Samsung LCD warranty

Nov 1, 2010 5:04PM PDT

I live in Mumbai (India). I am looking to buy a Samsung 22" LCD for my computer. I've been told by the dealer that the warranty becomes void if I get a scratch even on the side panels of the LCD. He is instead pushing for Dell 20" LED monitor.

Is this true? If so, why is it that even a scratch on the side panels would void the warranty?

Thanks
Husain

Samsung LCD warranty

thehusain,

Do you mean a scratch on the plastic bezel? Or the LCD thin panel itself?

If you mean on any part of the panel, that doesn't sound right, but I'd recommend calling the Samsung customer service center in your region to inquire prior to purchasing on what is covered and what falls out of warranty.

Yes, he was referring to scratch on the plastic bezel around the LCD thin panel.

I'll check with the customer care. Thanks
