Samsung LCD TV now bright white screen

Bought a Samsung LCD tv from Sears about two years ago. Model #LN46A630.
Just recently the screen has gone bright white on me. Turned off the tv for a little while and turned it back on. Worked fine then went back to a bright white screen. Can still see and hear tv, just the shading is very bright white. Unplugged it and left it alone over night thinking maybe this will reset it and nothing.
Played a DVD hoping it was my cable box and still the same problem. I called 1800-Samsung but she was no help at all. She logged it in the computer and verified my tv was two years old and that the warranty expired a year ago. She advised me to take it to an authorized Samsung repair dealer. This was on a Friday night.

Well the TV worked fine for another week then its white again. And again its on a Friday night so I have to wait till Monday to call. I will keep you posted. Anyone have anything similar happen and have a result to fix this please post up.

Crap is right!

It sounds like I am having the exact same white screen problem with my 32 inch Samsung LCD TV, only my problem started 3 days after the 1 year warranty expired! I am f*cking pissed off. I contacted the company telling them what BS this was and if they blow me off, well i'll badmouth their POS product to all my friends and family for the rest of my life.

Holy crap is right!

Well the same thing happened to me. My tv was clicking forever and then turning on. I called Samsung and they sent a rep out to replace the power supply. After the new power supply was installed all I got was a white screen. The tv picture never came back and I get no sound. Called Samsung and they said oh well it isn't our problem now. You have to pay for the additional repairs. Well my tv worked before they touched it, it was just slow to turn on. They say a power supply problem can't harm the components in the tv? What???
