Does it go to the green screen with a peripheral attached and powered, or is this if the HDMI ports are empty?
HDCP is High Def Copy Protection, and the error message can engage if the source box (usually cable/sat box) detects that it's not connected to a TV. If you have a cable/sat box connected to the HDMI, try to reset that by unplugging it, waiting a minute, and then plugging the unit back in. If it's a different device, it may mean that the ports aren't working.
There's not a firmware available for that model, so if the problem is with the TV (and it sounds like it could be, if the port itself is disabled or disabling itself), having the unit inspected and serviced by a technician would be the next step.
I have a 40inch LCD tv and when i first bought it a few months later the mother board went on it and I had a repair man come out from the company and replace it since it was under warranty. Now a yr later the hdmi ports do not want to work. Each time i turn on the television and go to either hdmi port 1 or 2 I blue screen flick over to a green screen and get a Diognostic screen pop up and say -
"HDCP Authorization Failure HDMI Port Disabled"
Does anyone know whats that all about or how could i get it working again? I have tried turning off & unplugging the tv for a few mins and still nothing. Is there an upgrade for firmware that would fix and if so how do i get it or is it an internal issue?
