Samsung LCD TV LA32A330 Picture Size problem

by JonathanLynch / February 28, 2009 1:40 AM PST

I have a new Samsing LCD TV. All was great, with full size picture available through my satellite receiver. Until that is the in-laws came to visit, and after returning from work I found that I now no longer have a full size picture available. I can get the 16:9 ratio only which leaves me with left and right black envelopes either side and a reduced picture size.
I have tried everything in the manual to adjust this, but I cant get there. The Just Scan option is not available (not sure if this is an issue).

I am really frustrated becasue everything has been working perfectly up to now - those pesky in laws.

Can anyone suggest a fix.

You might want to check your cable box settings first. Sometimes the remotes have a picture size button on them, and the in-laws could have pressed that by accident.

Had the same problem but finally figured out that it was a problem with my cable box and not my tv. I went into the setting of my cable box and then to display options. From there I found that by going into the picture size section I was able to choose the picture to be displayed at 1080i instead of the 480p it had been mistakenly switched to. This completely fixed my problem. Hope it does the same for you. Good luck!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
